Joanie Lemercier: From Actionscript to Art galeries
Joanie Lemercier is a visual artist working mostly with light and it's influence on our perception.
His work takes various formats: architectural projections, small and large installations, stage designs, AV performances, and explores mostly geometry, architecture, nature and cosmos.
Lemercier was a self taught Freelance Web developer in Bristol, Uk, when he started projection experiments by hacking Macromedia Flash as a projection mapping tool. He later dived into creative coding and combined software development with his art practice.
This art-tech-nature talk might include a weird combination of:
- Vjing and mapping with Flash player
- Plotter drawings in the desert.
- Climbing Mount Fuji.
- Parametric design with JayZ.
- SVG debugging in the notepad.
